Orange County Choppers Set to Host 5K/10 Rescue Run / Walk to Benefit the Hudson Valley SPCA
Join us in pounding the pavement for our animal friends on Sunday, April 28, 2013
Newburgh, New York – Grab your running shoes and head out to Orange County Choppers for the 5K/10K, Rescue Run/Walk to benefit the Hudson Valley SPCA on Sunday, April 28, 2013. The race is set to start at 10:30 a.m. at OCC Headquarters located at 14 Crossroads Court, Newburgh, NY. Net proceeds from the race will benefit the Hudson Valley SPCA. The Hudson Valley SPCA is the only no-kill animal shelter in the Newburgh, NY area. It does not receive funds from federal, state or local municipalities. Nor is it funded by the national organization, ASPCA. Their work is solely subsidized by donations. The HVSPCA’s dedicated team of volunteers helps to shelter, protect, and defend animals, while actively seeking out loving homes that will care for these animals for the rest of their lives. “The Hudson Valley SPCA is one of our favorite non-profit organizations and it’s literally in our backyard, said Paul Teutul, Sr. “Anyone that knows me, knows that I love animals, so please join us to help raise much-needed funds to keep the great work of the HVSPCA going.” Runners and walkers will race 3.1 to 6.2 miles through a moderately-challenging course starting and ending on OCC grounds. Paul Teutul, Sr., founder of Orange County Choppers, will sound the gun off – rain or shine – promptly at 10:30AM signaling the start of the race. Registration is now available online at www.orangecountychoppers5k.com. Pre-registration for a single runner or walker is $20.00 until Sunday, April 7. The cost of registration then rises to $25.00 on Monday, April 8. Those who register on or before Sunday, April 7, are guaranteed to receive an event t-shirt and gift bag. A family package is also being offered for groups of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids under 19) for $65.00 until April 7, and then $85.00 from April 8 until April 26. Please note that the family package will not be available for purchase on the day of the event. Day-of registration will be $25.00 for each runner/walker.
